Samuel: "Mama, leave."
Mama: "That's not nice, Samuel."
Samuel: "Mama, please leave."

Mama: "I think you've had enough candy, Samuel."
Samuel: "Sammy not think Sammy not had enough candy."
Mama: "You can have more tomorrow, but no more today."
Samuel: "Yes! Sammy eat candy all night long!"

Mama: "Samuel, please don't jump on the bed anymore."
Samuel: "Yes! Sammy want to!"
Mama: "You might fall and hurt yourself. No more jumping."
Samuel: "Yes! Sammy jump on bed all night and day!"

Mama: "You're really good at riding your tricycle, Sammy. Nice job."
Samuel: "You're really good at sitting on ground, Mama."
Mama: "Thank you, Sammy."
Samuel: "Thank you, Mama."

Samuel: "Sammy not want to go to bed!"
Mama: "It's bedtime. You have to go to bed."
Samuel: "Sammy want to not go to bed every night!"
Mama: "..."
Samuel: "Sammy want to not go to bed all night long!"
Mama: "..."
Samuel: "Sammy play two more minutes?"

Mama: "Let's go to Whole Foods, Samuel."
Samuel: "Maybe that big cart be there?"
Mama: "Yes, maybe it will be there."
Samuel: "Maybe Sammy ride in it?"
Mama: "Sure. If it's there, you can ride in it."
Samuel: "Maybe no other kids be there?"
Mama: "There might be other kids there, Samuel."
Samuel: "Sammy not like that."

Samuel: "What you talking about, Mama?"
Mama: "Oh, you know, people. Annoying people who don't know how to drive."
Samuel: [laughs] "That's funny, Mama! That so funny to say that!"
Mama: "What's funny?"
Samuel: "People not know how to drive!" [laughs uncontrollably]
Mama: "Glad I can entertain you, Samuel."
Samuel: "Sammy glad, too. That's funny."

Mama: "Samuel, it's time to eat."
Samuel: "Sammy not eat."
Mama: "Aren't you hungry?"
Samuel: "No, Sammy not hungry. Sammy just play here with Sammy's new car Vern."
Mama: "Maybe Vern is hungry, Samuel."
Samuel: "Maybe Vern eat chocolate?"
Mama: "No, I don't think so. Maybe later."
Samuel: "Probably right now."
