Checkers, Bartleby, and Chocolate Chip Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookies

Today Sammy said, "Mama, apparently, checkers are from the Czech Republic." I said, "No. They're not. But, I can see why you would make that connection." Then he mumbled something about this one Skoda he saw somewhere. When I asked him if he wanted to make cookies with me and Milka, he said, "No, thank you. I'd prefer to watch my PBS morning shows." WHO IS THIS BIG KID, AND WHY DOES HE TALK LIKE BARTLEBY?

Also, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: you need this cookie recipe. I substituted a mixture of chocolate chips, chocolate chunks, and chopped pecans for the peanut butter cups. Delicious!
