Tuesday afternoon, Baka and Ami (Sammy's great grandma) came into town. Samuel was beyond excited. He ran around the house shouting "Ami! Ami! Ami!" for two hours before they arrived. Our visit consisted of pizza, multi-colored balls, books about monkeys, park fun, Target, Hyde Park Grill french fries (the BEST), and coffee at the lake. Oh, and Samuel finally learned how to pronouce the word "yes." For at least a month, he had been pronouncing it like the other word for donkey, which made asking questions somewhat taboo in public places. But who knew we only needed a book about a monkey named Bobo! If a monkey can learn to say "yes" in an adorably illustrated book, then Samuel can, too. It was that easy. Thanks to Aunt Jane for the cutest book ever. Samuel and his parents thank you!
"Ami, tell me more about Bobo, the monkey who learns to say 'yes'!":
"Ami, tell me more about Bobo, the monkey who learns to say 'yes'!":
"Ami, thank you for helping me pick up all 75 multi-colored balls! Thanks, also, for not minding when I promptly dumped them all out again!"
Still clutching the book, mad that picture-taking is cutting into reading time:
Sitting sweetly with his Baka for a nanosecond:

It's the little things in life that are the most appreciated...
Your child learning to pronounce words correctly so that it doesn't sound like he's cussing...priceless.
