Happy Birthday to my little man! The Sammy turns two today!

Here are a few pictures from Samuel's first week:
Sammy just saw this picture and said "kitty!" Apparently, he mistakes his infant self for a cat. I'm sorry, but I think this baby is clearly human. Sorry, Sammy. I know it's your birthday and all...
He did lots of sleeping:
But mostly he cried. This outfit is really my favorite part of being a parent. I mean, really.

So, in honor of Sammy's birthday, here's a new and improved definitive guide to all things Samuel:
1. He loves Simon and Garfunkel's song "The Boxer." He calls it the "bocker hong." Yeah.
2. He doesn't like Mama to sing any song ever.
3. Mama also shouldn't choose outfits for him that aren't that one car shirt. No pants are preferred.
4. Pants are evil, in fact.
5. Chick-fil-A is not evil, and is actually the best place on earth.
6. He can only go to sleep to his favorite song: "Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round." The cd must continuously play that and only that song. If it advances to "She'll be Coming Around the Mountain," the whole bedtime ritual falls apart.
7. He has been known to cry over spilled milk.
8. Vacuuming is amazing.
9. His cars are meant to be rearranged in various line and line-like structures around the house. People shouldn't touch those.
10. Constructing a tent in the living room is better than cookies.
11. He loves fruit, but vegetables must be cooked in butter or fried to obscurity to pique his interest.
12. His favorite "joke" involves handicapped people. Don't ask.
13. His favorite food is chocolate. He will do anything for chocolate.
14. Just mentioning chocolate is a form of encouragement. "Samuel, I'm sorry about your scratched knee. Chocolate?"
15. He thinks Papa is made of tickles and endless bath times.
16. It is never too late for ice cream.
17. Home Depot has high ceiling fans. They are pretty.
18. He refers to every Volkswagen as "Papa" and every coffee cup as "Mama."
19. He remembers where our old house is and will point in that direction, yelling "Old! Ewww!" (We told him we were moving because the old house was "ewww.")
20. Other things that are "ewww": that cart at HEB and roaches.
21. He doesn't understand the concept of laundry.
22. He barely understands the concept of nap time.
23. He loves mango juice. Orange juice is also acceptable, but apple juice is a travesty.
24. His "greenies" are his favorite shoes. They are green, and sometimes he waves at them.
25. He can say "please," "thank you" and "ah-poo." The last one means "I love you" and is the cutest thing you will ever hear.
26. Curious George is real. So is the caterpillar from The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
27. A Google image search for "buses" will entertain him for upwards of thirty minutes.
28. A Google image search for "buses" should not be interrupted, no matter how much Mama wants to check her email or facebook.
29. He loves Mama's scones and will make pretend scones with a whisk and a tablespoon.
30. He also makes a delicious pretend mocha. People are expected to compliment the chef profusely; failure to do so may result in a loss of one's pretend scones. Also, there will be crying.
I love my kid! He's better than cookies.
