It's been four years already! While this coming Thursday (7/17) is our actual wedding anniversary, this past Thursday evening we headed down to Houston for a weekend of celebration! Baka, Dida, and Ujo Kaleb kept Samuel Friday, and Will and I hit the town: pizza and salad at Brasil (the four cheese pizza on whole wheat is excellent), Hedda Sterne and Saul Steinberg exhibition at the Menil (our favorite museum), late afternoon coffee at Agora, checking into our fancy schmancy downtown hotel, delicious Chicken Piccata (Heidi) and Trout Piccata (Will) at Michelangelo's, Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest at the Alley Theatre, and late night dessert at Birraporetti's. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our day and evening sans Samuel, though we called to check on him no less than four times... Big THANK YOU to the family for entertaining Sammy! The Agatha Christie play was so enjoyable, and we highly recommend it. Here are two pictures from our downtown escapade:
Saturday evening was spent with Oma and Opa, Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Chris and sweet cousin Caiden. Oma served up yummy lasagna, homeade bread, and berry and whipped cream parfaits! Here's Samuel with their incredibly large remote, loving the air vent at his feet:
Samuel and Caiden had so much fun playing together, attempting to share toys, and making weird "hobbleschnobble" and shrieking noises at each other. The cousins:
