Found: A House!

Peoples, we found a house! It's a beauty: 1950's home in a cute little neighborhood, lots of room (finally!), TWO BATHROOMS (finally!), close to Will's work, big yard, fancy kitchen, and trees, trees, trees! We close on the house March 13th. Friday the 13th, to be specific. Yeah, and I can't say we didn't look at each other like, "Really? That day? I mean we're not superstitious, but..."Anyways, we're excited.

Baka and Dida came up to Austin this weekend to check out the new place. I'm pretty sure they approve (and are mostly excited about the guest room). Samuel is just excited the back yard has lots of rocks. That's pretty much his main concern. That and ceiling fans.

Samuel playing with rocks (back view of the house and workshop). Anyone else think that rock is a little big for a 17 month old? And with his striped shirt, doesn't this look a little like Sammy escaped from a chain gang assigned to rock duty? Just sayin'.

We had a busy weekend during which we made breakfast tacos (with a little help from Taco Deli's crazy good Dona sauce), visited the house, washed the car (don't ask how long it's been since we last did that...it's embarrassing), got Sammy and Will haircuts, cooked and ate A LOT of tasty pasta (thanks, Baka!), enjoyed some Upper Crust cinnamon rolls (amazing), visited the park and Marshall's (the men and women, respectively), and saw a familiar one-legged homeless woman who carries a sign that reads, "On my last leg." For real. Oh, and in case you were curious, Sammy's date with a hair cut went much smoother this time: no screaming, no writhing, no urine puddle. Awesome.
