This past weekend we celebrated Will's birthday in Houston, but not before we met Shawna and Shamir at Magnolia Cafe for breakfast Saturday morning! We haven't seen them since Sammy's birthday party in August, and it was nice to relax and visit with the Edoo newlyweds. Thanks, guys, for being flexible and adapting to our ever-changing schedules; we enjoyed our breakfast with you! Here's Sammy, excited about (a) seeing Shawna and Shamir, (b) metal spoons, and (c) overhead ceiling fans (no doubt the latter provided the most thrills):
After breakfast we drove to Houston, to Sammy's Oma and Opa's house for a party for Will! Opa grilled wonderful barbecue ribs and chicken, and Oma served up some HOMEMADE BREAD, baked potatoes, and pie. I'm pretty sure Will was in heaven and ate more ribs than any human being should willingly consume! Uncle Keith and Virginia, Tiffany, Chris, and sweetest cousin Caiden, Baka, Dida, and Ujo Kaleb all showed up for the fun (and food). Will took some lovely pictures of the cousins, and here are a few of my favorites.

We were more than happy to meet you for the most expensive breakfast in the world... well, maybe not in the world. I am sure someone somewhere eats some sort of rare fish or squid that could pay for my future home! We love you guys and were so happy to see you. Sammy grows so fast, each time we see him he cutter and more big-boy-ish(?)! We love you and look forward to seeing you as soon as you are back from your well-deserved vacation.
Shawna, I forgot about the expensive check!!! Sure glad Shamir caught that! So funny. Love you guys!
