New House!

We're all moved in! Finally! We've been working like maniacs since Thursday afternoon, and it's coming along nicely. Here's the dining room, which required very little work and is therefore camera-ready:

Samuel loves the new house, though he's very aware that it's "new" and refers to it as such eleventymazillion times a day. He's also a fan of the large backyard and Papa's grilling tools. Sometimes he tries to give me the metal spatula:

Other times he treats it as his light saber of choice when battling weeds, lizards, and intrusive mothers:

In other news, Samuel has a new big-boy bed! He actually likes sleeping in it and also calls it his "new." We put up a few older pictures on his wall and one new one: an old Russian travel agency poster with a giant snowman. Sammy loves it, and I've been telling him that when he's sleeping the snowman will come down from the wall and tickle him. Which sounds way creepier written down than it did in my head. Yikes.

We're settling into a routine here. The newness is still a bit of a problem, though. Samuel woke up the other night, and when I came into his room to see what was going on, he was just sitting in his bed, repeating the word "new." Hopefully, that will wear off soon.
