This weekend Baka and Dida came into town to celebrate Will's birthday. Part of that celebration included babysitting Sammy Saturday night, while we went to Antone's for a Grupo Fantasma with Larry Harlow concert!!! The show was amazing (HIGHLY recommended), and we very much enjoyed our late, late night. Doors opened at 9 PM (but we got there at 8:15, stupidly), and we didn't start walking back to our car until nearly 1 AM. We were exhausted. Our legs were aching, and I wanted to murder my feet. Note: Antone's is a standing-room-only nightclub. We made our way back to our car, wondering why shows couldn't start a little earlier and feeling very, very old. By the way, the youth of Austin are not even close to asleep at 1 in the morning...
Here are a few pictures from our weekend with the family. Sadly, we have no pictures from the concert. I mentioned our lack of a camera to Will at the show, and he said we "most certainly could not take pictures anyway." Which made me feel better, until I saw a lady in front of us take out her camera, snap a few hundred brilliant pictures of the band, talk (loudly) about said brilliant pictures, and then pass the camera to her friend in exchange for her (10th) beer.
